Donna Lawlor
2026 First Pitch Honoree

For over a decade, Donna has been a dedicated member of our community, and for the past five years, she has been an invaluable volunteer for our youth softball program. Her selfless commitment has not only helped grow the program but has also inspired and mentored countless young athletes.

Donna’s love for softball began in her high school days at Forest View High School in Illinois, where she excelled in both softball and basketball. She went on to continue her athletic journey at Lake Forest College in Illinois, where she earned recognition for her talent and leadership. As a four-year varsity letter winner, Donna played an essential role as both a pitcher and third baseman, and she was named team captain for multiple seasons—a true reflection of her leadership both on and off the field.

Beyond her individual accolades, Donna was part of an incredible team transformation, helping lead her college team to a remarkable turnaround and even a conference championship in 1983. This incredible achievement marked a pivotal moment in the history of the program, and Donna was inducted into Forest View’s Hall of Fame in 1999.

But perhaps the most impressive part of Donna’s story is her decision to bring her passion for the game back to our community. She’s spent the last five years volunteering with our youth program, sharing her knowledge, experience, and love for softball with the next generation of athletes. Her dedication goes beyond the field; she’s an inspiring mentor, always encouraging young players to strive for greatness and to believe in themselves.

Donna Lawlor’s impact on our community and on our youth softball program cannot be overstated. Her unwavering commitment, passion for the game, and ability to inspire others makes her a true role model.
